How BOTOX® Works and How does Botox last

Botox is categorized as a neuromodulator injectable, temporarily halting muscle contractions. Unlike dermal fillers that add volume, Botox works by reducing muscle-induced wrinkles. Essentially, it blocks the nerves from communicating with the muscles. For instance, if you treated your forehead and raised your eyebrows, your forehead muscles that cause wrinkles would move minimally, creating a smoother, less wrinkled appearance. Over time, it can change muscle memory, so the treated areas stop responding to the same nerve stimulus. It gradually smooths wrinkles as the skin is no longer creased by muscle contractions. The longer you don’t use a muscle, the creases caused by consistent contraction begin to fade away. Botox lasts for up to four months, and prolonged outcomes are achievable through successive treatments.

Botox is also an effective remedy for hyperhidrosis, reducing excessive sweating by more than 75% when injected into underarm and palm areas. Initial results for hyperhidrosis typically persist for nine months to a year, with prolonged outcomes achievable through successive treatments.

BOTOX® for Chronic Migraines

FDA-approved Botox as a preventive treatment for chronic migraines is prescribed for individuals who experience at least 15 headache days each month.

BOTOX® for the Nefertiti Lift

The Nefertiti lift, a non-surgical procedure, involves injecting Botox into specific points along the jawline, rejuvenating the jawline and neck to create a firmer, well-defined, and more chiseled look. Additionally, Botox can minimize sagging neck skin and wrinkles by targeting the platysma muscles of the neck. This treatment reduces neck wrinkles and vertical lines by softening the platysma bands.

At your complimentary consultation, our experienced team assesses whether Botox injections align with your unique aesthetic goals. Thanks to the use of tiny, micro-sized needles, the procedure is not uncomfortable or painful. Any minimal discomfort during injections is often likened to a small pinprick that instantly goes away.

Typical Treatment Time

These brief treatments typically take only a few minutes, allowing you to resume your regular activities immediately. Botox results become apparent gradually within two to seven days, with initial effects lasting around four months, sometimes longer. Consistent treatments can extend these outcomes over time. We recommend you do 3 to 4 consistent Botox treatments, spaced 3 to 5 months apart, to increase the ability to permanently change your muscle memory, reducing the need for Botox as frequently.

You can anticipate gradual improvement within two to seven days after your Botox appointment. Full results typically become visible within one to two weeks.
