Why Just Anyone Can’t Get Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal seems like an easy procedure if you wanted to dip your toes into the world of cosmetic treatment.
After all, smooth and shiny legs are highly sought after for women, and, in a way, you’re just getting a sort of hair cut, right?
But as with any cosmetic treatment, there is a horror story out there to tell you to.
1. Actually do your research
2. Find a board-certified practitioner
3. Read reviews!
First & Second Degree Burns
A woman in Moscow recently received laser hair removal treatment for her legs.
During the session, when she felt discomfort and told the technician, the technician assured her it was just her sensitive skin.
Not so.
Her skin was getting burned, in a bad way, and she noticed discolored and painful patches appearing on her skin.
The unfortunate result is a long recovery period for–ouch!–first and second degree burns. She can’t even wear short skirts for six months, otherwise the sun will exacerbate the burns.
Just Because it Seems Simple Doesn’t Mean it Is
Laser hair removal is a procedure that you’ll sometimes see in run-of-the-mill medspas. Because of that, the general impression of the public is that it’s a simple procedure that doesn’t need properly trained technicians.
And that’s definitely not the truth.
When it comes to lawsuits in laser surgery, laser hair removal is by far the most common types of lawsuit. It would seem that people everywhere are getting burned, literally and figuratively.
So make sure you do your research. Go online and find legitimate institutions with licensed practitioners, and make sure you check out those reviews too to make sure previous clients have been happy.
