Plastic Surgery Is Nothing to Be Ashamed of According to Anastasia Karanikolaou

It’s not easy to admit to plastic surgery, especially if your career is built around your looks.

But model Anastasia Karanikolaou knows better than to shy away from honesty.

“I used to have the cutest, perkiest boobs when I was young,” she shares candidly, revealing her reasons for wanting a breast lift.

Apparently she had been told that bras make your boobs sag–which was the opposite of the truth.

Not only that, but Karanikolaou actually had differently sized breasts.

So she decided it was time to make a change.

Health Concerns That Come With Differently Sized Breasts

Besides the obvious fact that having breasts of different sizes can cause sagging, it also has the concerns of making it difficult to fit into articles of clothing such as bikinis.

But more importantly, the asymmetry of the weight can be a serious strain on the neck and shoulder.

Karanikolaou, being a model, also realized it was affecting her livelihood, preventing her from putting on clothing necessary for photo shoots.

Time for a Breast Lift

But Karanikolaou wasn’t actually going for a breast augmentation or a breast reduction.

She was going for a breast lift, which would do the job of restoring symmetry — adding volume where it was needed for that purpose, and no more.

Now, Karanikolaou, healed up from her surgery, wants the world to know that she had it. And she’s not insecure about it.

“All my comments were saying, ‘you’re so insecure, you’re so insecure,’ which is the complete opposite. If I were insecure, I wouldn’t have showed it. I wanted to show people that there’s nothing to be ashamed of — that it’s so common for girls to have this issue and you can do something to fix it.”
