Paid vs. Free Plastic Surgery Consultation in DC: Which Is Better?
When entering the world of plastic surgery, it can seem a daunting task to figure out expenses.
Given that it’s more often than not, insurance covering the cost of an elective cosmetic procedure such as rhinoplasty is likely out of the question.
Here’s what you need to know about paid vs. free plastic surgery consultation in DC.
Does a Consultation Fee Mean Better Work?
Not necessarily. Better work means a board-certified, experienced surgeon who doesn’t try to cut corners. Prioritization of your safety, goals, and health means better work. Whether the consultation is paid or free doesn’t really determine good or bad work.
That being said, be on the lookout when it comes to plastic surgeons offering dirt cheap procedures in conjunction with free or even paid consultations. If it’s too good to be true, then it probably is.
Paid vs. Free Plastic Surgery Consultation in DC: Does It Matter?
When discussing a paid vs. free consultation, there are some things to consider. At the end of the day, though, it’s dependent on what’s available to you.
A cosmetic surgeon who charges a fee isn’t being greedy, and a cosmetic surgeon who doesn’t isn’t being cheap or suspicious. Some want to be compensated for their time and expertise, maximize a one-on-one visit, and ensure that you’re serious about pursuing a procedure.
That being said, some surgeons don’t charge a fee in order to not scare off new patients or have it act as a barrier, as they receive adequate compensation as is with good quality work, or they don’t want to put pressure on a new or recurring patient.
Bottom line: both are viable and up to your discretion.
