CoolSculpting for Hispanic Women
An event by #WeAllGrow, a Latina influencer network, and Allergan, the company that manufactures CoolSculpting, was recently held to promote an open and honest dialogue about Hispanic women and their views on aesthetic procedures.
It revealed that many Hispanic women are considering cosmetic treatments to combat aging and target stubborn body fat.
Additionally, these participants were open to combing lifestyle changes with CoolSculpting’s fat-freezing procedure.
What Is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a non-surgical body contouring procedure that uses extremely cold temperatures to freeze and destroy fat cells. The treatment is FDA-approved to target unwanted fat in the abdomen, flanks, inner and outer thighs, upper arms, chin, bra, and back.
During CoolSculpting, an applicator is fitted to the shape and size of the fat bulge and then suctions the tissue in place for a 30-45 minutes cycle.
Most patients find the treatment comfortable and can recline, watch tv, or read throughout the session.
Interest in Aesthetic Treatments Is on the Rise for Hispanic Women
The forum demonstrated that a large percentage of Hispanic women, up to 63 percent, are considering cosmetic treatment as they get older.
Many participants also identified themselves as early adopters, saying that they are typically the first of their social group to try new beauty trends.
Additionally, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reported that Hispanic patients’ use of aesthetic procedures increased 23.5 percent from 2010-2017.
How Can Hispanic Women Benefit From Coolsculpting?
The #WeAllGrow discussion also provided some insight into how Hispanic women feel about their bodies and the areas that they would like to improve upon.
94 percent of the women shared that they have experienced difficulty ridding their body of excess fat and that their abdomen, hips, and thighs were their most troublesome spots.
Fortunately, all three of these areas can safely and effectively be treated with CoolSculpting without surgery, anesthesia, or downtime. The treatment can also reduce up to 24 percent of fat cells per treatment and is an excellent alternative to liposuction or other invasive procedures.
How Do Hispanic Women Feel About Coolsculpting?
The #WeAllGrow collaboration also showed that not only are Hispanic women concerned about the size and shape of their bodies, but that many of them are eager to take action.
More specifically, 52 percent of the women stated that they would be interested in trying CoolSculpting in addition to diet and exercise to achieve their body goals.
This trifecta could actually yield significant results, as CoolScuplting works best for patients that are at or within 20 pounds of their ideal weight and able to maintain their treatment results with a nutritious diet and regular exercise.
