Clear+Brilliant: The Ultimate Guide
What is Clear+Brilliant? There are so many laser treatments available for facial rejuvenation, that it can be hard to tell the difference between all of them.
Clear+Brilliant is a great laser for exactly the individuals who would ask this question: because it is such a gentle laser, it’s a ‘starter’ laser for individuals who have never done any facial rejuvenation via laser.
How’s it work?
One way to look at Clear+Brilliant is as an intermediate step between microdermabrasion and more intense Fraxel lasers.
The laser is a non-ablative one, which means it heats up the targeted tissue without actually destroying it, making it less invasive.
This works because the laser only destroys some of the cells in a targeted area. The cells that are left surround the damaged tissue–allowing for the healing process to be as efficient as possible.
What does Clear+Brilliant actually do?
Now that we know Clear+Brilliant is much more gentle than other lasers, what advantages does it actually offer? Like all skin rejuvenation treatments, it promotes the production of collagen and elastin that helps the face look more radiant.
More specifically, Clear+Brilliant reduces fine lines and pore size, and corrects mild pigmentation. Those in their 20s who are interested in trying advanced skin rejuvenation treatments but don’t necessarily need the “firepower” of higher energy lasers might consider Claer+Brilliant.
It can be seen more as a preventative skincare measure–far more appropriate for younger individuals who most likely do not suffer from many effects of skin aging on their face.
The main side effects patients will see is pinkish skin, usually up to six hours after the treatment. Sometimes individuals will see redness in their skin up to two days. Patients will usually go in for three to five sessions scheduled about three weeks apart.
