Coolscupting is great and it’s helped a lot of people, millions in fact. But that doesn’t mean it’s right for everybody.

For one, it isn’t weight-loss surgery, but it is designed to rid patients of fat from unwanted areas. Those stubborn spots of fat bulges that endless hours at the gym just won’t change—maybe under the chin, or on the backside of your arms.

The procedure is safe, extensively test and of course, FDA-approved.

Continue reading to see if Coolsculpting is what you need.

Who Shouldn’t Have Coolsculpting?

Before all else, be sure to consult with your physician. Provide them with all of your medical history.

Coolsculpting isn’t for the obese as it only targets particular areas.

You should also avoid the treatment if you have any of the following conditions:

·       Cryoglobulinemia
·       Paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria
·       Cold agglutinin disease

Curious patients should consider the possible side effects before going through with Coolsculpting.

Possible CoolSculpting Side Effects

Undergoing Coolsculpting can result in a variety of side effects during and after the procedure.

During treatment, the patients will experience sensations of pulling, tugging and mild pinching, as well as intense cold and cramping before the target area numbs.

Following the procedure, there will be redness and mild bruising around the treatment area. And the numbness can last several weeks. There can also be some lightheadedness and nausea.

Coolsculpting for the chin, in particular, has a number of possible side effects. The operation consists of freezing the fat so the exposure of low temperatures can lead to these effects. But nothing very harmful.

Cold exposure to the hypoglossal nerve can cause tongue deviation. The marginal mandibular nerve may cause lower lip weakness. And the submandibular glance can decrease saliva production.

The most alarming by-product of Coolsculpting may be Paradoxical hyperplasia. That is when the tissue within the target area enlarges (typically months after your procedure). Liposuction may be required because of this.

CoolSculpting Results

The most significant effects of Coolsculpting are, of course, the fantastic results.

Patients can expect changes in under a month. Your body will also continue to process the fat cells treated by the treatment for about four months.

It is non-invasive are a smart move to make for any good candidates.
