Top Cosmetic Treatments

You may think you know what the most popular cosmetic treatments are, and you’d probably be right: after all, year after year, surgeries like breast augmentation and treatments like dermal fillers and Botox tend to top out the list.

But you might be a little surprised, this year, to see movement on the list of the most popular treatments, particularly what treatment made it to the top of the non-surgical treatment list.

So without further ado, here were the top surgical and non-surgical treatments of the year, based on data from RealSelf.

The Top Surgeries

  1. Breast Augmentation / Breast Lift
  2. Rhinoplasty
  3. Tummy Tuck
  4. Liposuction
  5. Vaginal Rejuvenation
  6. Butt Enhancement
  7. Facelift
  8. Eyelid Surgery
  9. Breast Reduction
  10. Mommy Makeover

No big surprise here.

Year after year, Breast Augmentation procedures are the most popular plastic surgery treatment, quickly followed by rhinoplasties.

The list of top surgeries stayed stable.

But…

The Top Non-Surgical Treatments

  1. Non-Surgical Fat Reduction (like Sculpsure and Coolsculpting)
  2. Fillers (like Juvederm and Restylane)
  3. Hair Restoration
  4. Toxins (Botox and Dysport)
  5. Facial Lasers
  6. Scar Treatment
  7. Acne Treatment
  8. Laser Hair Removal
  9. Chemical Peel

More than a few surprises here. You probably wouldn’t be surprised to hear Botox and dermal fillers were still part of the top.

But, amazingly, non-surgical fat reduction (like CoolSculpting) seems to have topped out the list, beating out both of these established treatments.

Could this be a strong forecast of what people are looking for with regards to their bodies?

It may be that people are even more concerned about their figure than their face–but that it wasn’t until non-surgical fat reduction treatments that they were willing to bite the bullet.

Possibly an even bigger surprise is that Hair Restoration comes in at number three, edging out Botox at the fourth spot.

Finally, a small surprise is the resurgence of Laser Hair Removal. Probably due to improving technologies.
